Workplace Health Assessments

An individual’s health is crucial to their daily performance – both personal and professional. If employees are not in good health, they’re not performing as well as they could be.

The effects of poor employee health on Australian productivity cannot be underestimated. For example, unhealthy workers average just 49 productive hours of work per month compared to 143 hour per month for the healthy ones (Medibank Private, 2005). Manage your employee's health and see the results add up.

A large part of remaining healthy is identifying health risks early and making simple, but important, lifestyle changes. Pyke Family Wellbeing offer preventative tools (like Employee Health Checks) and management tools (like our energy management series and one-on-one consultations) to improve the health, and therefore the performance, of your employees.

Employee Health Check

The Pyke Wellbeing Health Check is considered the industry gold standard. This assessment measures an employee’s major cardiovascular disease risk factors, as well as providing an overview of their general health. This service can be conducted at any workplace across Australia. On completion of the assessment, detailed individual reports are provided to employees, and aggregated reports will be provided to the company. This enables companies to identify common health risk categories and implement well-targeted solutions, optimising the return on their investment in employee health.

Diabetes Risk Screen

Diabetes, if left untreated, can have serious implications on an individual’s health, wellbeing and life expectancy. A Diabetes Risk Screen (provided at your workplace) is a convenient 10-minute assessment of an employee’s risk factors associated with diabetes. Blood glucose checks are performed using advanced and reliable finger-prick technology. Body mass index (BMI) and waist measurements are also used to form a reliable evaluation of risk. On completion of the assessment employees receive individual results, and practical strategies to minimise the risk of developing diabetes from an experienced healthcare practitioner.
