Your first visit – please allow 45 minutes

Our purpose at Pyke Family Wellbeing Centre is to help people get well and stay well.  We understand that your first visit to any new place can be a stressful experience – especially if you are not feeling well.   Your first visit to our office is an opportunity for us to get to know you and to work out how we can best assist you on your journey to health and wellbeing.

Before your first visit to our office you will have received our health questionnaire. It is important to remember that chiropractic care is about much more than just back and neck pain. This detailed questionnaire helps our Wellness Chiropractors to understand as much as possible about you, your life and the everyday stresses that you may experience.  Many of the health issues that we experience today are a build up of stress over a lifetime.  In order for our Doctors to help guide you back to health this information is vitally important.

Shortly after arriving to our office one of our chiropractors will guide through to a consultation room so they may obtain a better understanding of your health concerns. After a thorough history we will be able to determine how best to proceed. Your wellness chiropractor will then be able to provide an explanation of chiropractic and how it relates to you and your family attaining optimal health.

Once this has been done, a thorough chiropractic evaluation will be performed. Our office has invested in state of the art computerised assessments that help us assess the health of your spine and nervous system.  After carefully assessing your posture, feeling through your spine and doing any other necessary tests a decision will be made, by your chiropractor, as to whether x-rays of your spine will be required prior to you undertaking care.  For your convenience our office has a low dose x-ray unit on site.

If your chiropractor has enough information at this point you will begin with your first adjustment, however in most cases they will require time to review your results and correlate all information before proceeding. This will equip your chiropractor with the best strategies to help you get well and stay well in the least amount of time. We will then schedule you for a Report of Findings.

At your Report of Findings visit your wellness chiropractor will simply and thoroughly explain the results of all tests. When we truly understand your needs, a plan of care will then be outlined for you based on your individual requirements and the stresses that you encounter in your everyday life.  After answering all your questions you will receive your first adjustment.

 
Parking and Getting to our office

There is plenty of two hour parking directly opposite our office on Bay Street.  Please be sure to let one of our friendly staff know if you need assistance from the car.  We are a family office and our friendly staff would only be too happy to help mind your children whilst you are having your appointment.  If you are coming by public transport there is a bus stop almost directly outside our office or you can take the 109 tram and get off at Northport walk down Raglan Street for approximately 250 metres then turn right at Bay Street – we are 50 metres down on the right.
